the garden area of a 'big' house. A lot was intact and all the main rooms looked out onto this garden the utility rooms and slave quarters were at the back but not open to the public

on the other wall. there was nothing like this in Pompeii
another house. Imagine how much mud has been dug out and cleaned off, imagine finding this!

that's it for Herculaneum. Fascinating is an understatement.
